One gallon of syrup 22 warm, or 26 Baume, cold, weighs ten pounds and two ounces, and contains four pounds and twelve ounces of sugar and molasses, and five pounds and six ounces of water.
Seven pounds of sugar and three pounds and twelve ounces of water, heated to boiling point, in order to melt thoroughly the sugar, weigh 80 B. Warm, and 84 B.
